Job summary

General Motors Africa & Middle East is seeking an Area Manager Maintenance for Lansing stamping operations. You will lead Tool & Die and Maintenance teams, drive reliability, and partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Safety, and Facilities to deliver safe, reliable, and cost-effective production.

You will establish priorities, coach skilled trades, implement preventive/predictive maintenance, and champion continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with GM procedures on the plant

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience leading technical, maintenance, manufacturing, engineering, or skilled-trades operations in a complex industrial or automotive environment.
• Strong knowledge of stamping manufacturing equipment, maintenance practices, automation, controls, tooling/dies, or related plant-floor systems.
• Proven ability to diagnose complex technical problems and lead cross-functional teams to durable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead Tool & Die and Maintenance teams across multiple stamping plants, aligning priorities to safety, quality, and productivity.
• Oversee maintenance execution, preventive/predictive maintenance, and tooling readiness to support production.
• Coordinate with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Facilities to manage equipment risks and recovery actions.
