Job summary

Bio Fab Technologies is a custom stainless-steel fabricator that builds equipment for the Food and Pharmaceutical industries. We are seeking an energetic Polisher to join our manufacturing team and contribute to high-quality parts.

The polisher discolors and polishes stainless steel components such as frames, manifolds, adapters and spools, follow work instructions, and maintain a clean, safe work area while meeting QA standards.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• 2–5 years polishing stainless-steel materials preferred.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and work orders.

Responsibilities

• Improve surface finish and correct defects on stainless steel.
• Operate grinders, buffers and related equipment per specs.
• Maintain tools and machinery.
• Ensure parts are clean and ready for next process.
• Keep work area safe, clean and orderly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Bio Fab Technologies is a custom stainless-steel fabricator that manufactures equipment for the Food and Pharmaceutical industries and with our continued growth we are looking to add an impact player to our team as a Polisher.

The polisher discolors and polishes various stainless steel parts including frames, manifolds, adapters, and spools.

Job Responsibilities

• Improvement of surface finish and correction of any material defects on stainless steel material.
• Operates equipment in accordance with specifications. Equipment may include pneumatic and electric hand grinders, pedestal grinders and buffers.
• Maintains tools and machinery as needed.
• Performs with high attention to detail and produces high-quality parts.
• Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations, including the use of PPE.
• Assures parts are clean and placed in their respective areas for the next manufacturing process.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Abilities

• Ability to interpret and translate engineering designs and documentations (work orders, drawings and specifications).
• Ability to follow work instructions and work well in a team.
• Understanding of and the ability to abide by applicable OSHA and environmental regulations.

Education & Experience

• HS Diploma or equivalent
• 2-5years of polishing stainless-steel materials preferred

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift parts up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to stand for prolonged time periods.
• Exposure to dust, odors, oil, fumes, noise, and different climate temperatures.
• Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts produced.
