Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Polish, buff, grind, and finish stainless steel and biopharmaceutical-grade components to surface finish specs.
• Inspect finished products for surface imperfections, defects, contamination, and quality compliance.
• Operate polishing, grinding, and finishing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Interpret work orders, blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure requirements are met.
• Measure and verify surface finishes using inspection tools and instruments.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area following safety and quality requirements.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), quality procedures, and company policies.
• Document work performed and production records accurately.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.

In this role, you will be responsible for polishing, finishing, inspecting, and preparing stainless steel biopharmaceutical process equipment and components to meet strict quality, cleanliness, and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have advanced experience polishing and finishing stainless steel tanks, vessels, and process equipment used in pharmaceutical and biotechnology applications.

This position requires exceptional attention to detail, a commitment to precision workmanship, and the ability to follow established procedures and quality standards. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring that products meet customer specifications and industry requirements while supporting the manufacture of equipment used in highly regulated biopharmaceutical environments.

Essential Responsibilities

• Polish, buff, grind, and finish stainless steel and other biopharmaceutical-grade components to required surface finish specifications.
• Inspect completed products for surface imperfections, defects, contamination, and compliance with quality standards.
• Operate polishing, grinding, and finishing equipment safely and efficiently.

Required Qualifications

• 35 years of previous experience in metal polishing, finishing, manufacturing, fabrication, or a related field preferred.

• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with stainless steel products used in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, food processing, or medical device industries.
• Knowledge of surface finish requirements, electropolishing processes, or sanitary manufacturing standards.
