Job summary

NWN Plano, TX is seeking a Staging Technician to perform receiving, racking, stacking, and shipping of data equipment. You will work with engineers and project managers to stage and pre-configure devices before shipment to customers.

You'll verify deliveries, apply serialized barcodes, rack equipment, connect for VPN, image laptops, and manage inventory in the NWN Plano system; a reliable, detail-oriented self-starter with strong multitasking is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s degree in related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive shipments and verify quantities against packing slips.
• Identify product, generate and apply serialized barcodes; record serial numbers and MAC addresses.
• Rack switches, routers and other equipment; connect for VPN access.
• Coordinate with Engineers, Project Managers and Program Managers on rackened equipment guidance.
• Load software and firmware; image and provision laptops.
• Maintain inventory in NWN Plano Distribution Inventory Database; stock deliveries in designated areas.
• Write outbound ship orders in NWN Plano Distribution Inventory Database.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
