Job summary

Atos SE is seeking a Staging Center Technician in Dixon, California to receive, prepare, configure, test, and ship IT equipment for deployments. You will ensure devices are imaged, inventoried, and documented according to standards while maintaining a secure staging environment.

You will collaborate with field support, project managers, asset management, and logistics to ensure on-time deployments and quality. Strong attention to detail and experience with asset management is required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
• Equivalent technical training and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Configure, image, and stage network devices, servers, and peripherals.
• Install operating systems, software, security tools, and updates.
• Validate hardware/software functionality before deployment.
• Perform system testing and QA checks for deployment readiness.
• Apply asset tags, labels, and customer-specific configurations.
• Receive, inspect, and inventory incoming equipment shipments.
• Maintain accurate asset records in inventory systems.
• Track asset movement through deployment and return.
• Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
• Support equipment lifecycle activities including refresh and disposal.
• Prepare deployment kits and shipping packages per project needs.
• Coordinate shipping, receiving, and return logistics activities.
• Ensure secure packaging to prevent damage in transit.
• Verify shipping documentation and maintain chain-of-custody records.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and imaging issues; escalate as needed.
• Assist field technicians with deployment readiness and questions.
• Support technology refresh and rollout initiatives.
• Follow staging procedures, work instructions, and security requirements.
• Ensure compliance with contracts, asset policies, and data protection standards.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency.
• Maintain staging center organization, cleanliness, and safety.
