Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. is seeking a worker to ensure quality staging for Metal Assembly. You will stage materials, operate Kardex and scales, and enter accurate timing on sales orders. The role includes setting up Pre-kit paperwork and assisting in Pre-kit activities.

With potential to train others after demonstrating competency, this hourly position requires good coordination and the ability to stand for long periods in a production environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous manufacturing experience using small hand tools preferred.

SUMMARY OF POSITION

Responsible for all activities for quality operations of Staging for Metal Assembly.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Stage all material for Metal Assembly.
• Operate Kardex and scale.
• Put times on sales orders.
• Set up Pre-kit with paperwork needed.
• Assist in Pre-kit as needed.
• Preform cycle count for Assembly area.
• Accurately fill out traveler.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Once employee demonstrates competency in position, he/she may be required to train others in similar roles.

OCCASIONAL DUTIES

• Support 6’s within facility.
• Other duties as required.

EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous manufacturing experience using small hand tools preferred.

SKILLS

• Good hand and eye coordination. Ability to read blueprints, calipers, and micrometers. Light lifting while bending and stooping. Ability to stand up throughout the day and up to two hours at a time.
