Job summary

The Salvation Army Southern California Division invites applications for Stage Technician II at the San Diego Kroc Theater. The role focuses on theatrical rigging, lighting, sound reinforcement, media projection, and scenic installation, supporting bookings and maintaining a safe, inclusive theatre environment.

Responsibilities include operating and programming lighting and sound consoles, reading plots, mentoring staff, and ensuring equipment readiness.

Qualifications

• Prior technical theatre experience required.
• Ability to work nights and weekends.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Must read, write and communicate in English.
• Meet all health and safety regulations as defined by the Health Department and The Salvation Army.
• Must be in good physical and mental health, capable of meeting the demands of arts orientated instruction.
• Must successfully complete the Protecting the Mission Abuse Prevention training as established by The Salvation Army.

Responsibilities

• Operate lighting and sound consoles and related programming.
• Maintain and operate theater counterweighted fly system.
• Read lighting plots, mic plots and patch equipment.
• Instruct others in basic console operations.
• Collaborate with management to advance bookings and maintain a safe, inclusive performance environment.
