Job summary

The City of Asheville is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Stage Crew in the Community & Regional Entertainment Facilities department at the Harrah's Cherokee Center - Asheville. This role assists with preparations for regional and nationally touring events at the ExploreAsheville.com Arena and the Thomas Wolfe Auditorium.

Responsibilities include setting and striking staging, assisting with setup and teardown, operating hand tools, and following safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual labor in support of events; setting and striking staging, event equipment, courts, barricades, trussing and related gear.
• Assist with event setup and teardown, including loading and unloading of trucks.
• Operate a variety of hand tools, machinery, and equipment.
• Follow safety protocols, including the placement of signage and cones around work sites.
• Assist with minor repairs to maintain the condition of the facilities.
• Provide support during adverse weather conditions or other emergencies as needed.
• Communicate with supervisors and other staff to coordinate daily tasks and ensure project completion.
