Emerson College’s Department of Performing Arts invites applications for a full-time term faculty position in Stage Management for our BFA in Design and Stage Management. The appointment begins August 19, 2027, with orientation Aug 19–20, 2027.

This is an in-person teaching role based at Emerson's Boston campus, with a one-year renewal potential based on performance. The candidate will teach a 3/3 course load, contribute to the Stage Management curriculum, advise students, and participate in

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's or MFA in Stage Management or related field.
• At least 5 years of professional theatre experience.
• Membership in Actors Equity and USITT required.
• Affiliations to IATSE, AGMA, or other professional organizations preferred.

Aufgaben

• Teach a 3/3 course load (6 classes) over the academic year.
• Teach courses in the Design and Stage Management BFA curriculum.
• Provide leadership to the Stage Management concentration; academic advising.
• Assist in recruitment, interviews of prospective students, and retention initiatives.
• Support and mentorship for career placement; perform other service as assigned.
