Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a structural welder for Stage 0 ground fabrication at Starbase, TX. You will join an elite team working on complex launch hardware and test stands, performing FCAW-G welding with a focus on safety and precision.

You will read engineering drawings, fabricate components, and adhere to AWS D1.1 standards while maintaining certifications and supporting rapid vehicle testing and historic Starship launches from the Texas coast.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• 2+ years in FCAW-G welding (vocational program qualifies).
• Ability to read welding symbols per AWS 2.4.
• 5+ years of FCAW-G welding experience preferred.
• 3+ years blueprint reading for structural weldments.

Responsibilities

• Complete welding assignments for construction/repair of site structural weldments on time and safely.
• 2) Cut, trim, fit and fabricate metal components per dimensions for test/launch hardware.
• Under supervisor, analyze drawings and plan welding when procedures are unavailable.
• Utilize manual and semi-automatic welding to fit and weld complex weldments.
• Visually inspect own welds per AWS D1.1.
• Obtain and maintain internal licenses or certifications as required.
• Improve operations and reduce turnaround times where possible.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
• Perform other related duties to ensure efficient operations.
