Penmac Staffing Services, Inc. is seeking a Staffing Specialist in Springfield, MO to support recruiting, hiring, and customer service for our clients and associates.

You’ll recruit and hire for temporary, temp-to-hire, and direct-hire opportunities while building strong relationships with both clients and associates. This role blends recruiting, customer service, problem-solving, and operations in a fast-paced, people-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in recruiting, staffing, high-volume hiring, retail, hospitality, or customer service is preferred.
• Strong communication skills—both written and verbal.
• Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Comfortable making decisions in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, screen, and interview applicants; evaluate job skills for placement.
• Conduct reference checks and coordinate interviews with clients and associates.
• Prepare offers, complete new hire paperwork, and conduct orientations.
• Communicate job expectations, pay, schedules, and policies clearly.
• Develop relationships with client hiring managers and maintain regular follow-up.
• Ensure orders are promptly filled to clients’ satisfaction.
• Help manage daily staffing activity and documentation.
• Provide excellent customer service to clients and candidates; remain calm and professional.
• Additional responsibilities (payroll, unemployment claims, workers’ comp) may be assigned.
