Job summary

Surge Staffing is seeking a motivated Staffing Specialist to join our growing team in an entry-level, full-time role focused on helping clients find talent and delivering outstanding service to both clients and temporary employees.

You will recruit, screen, interview, and onboard candidates, source through job boards and referrals, and build lasting relationships with clients to drive placements and business growth. No relocation required, with room for advancement.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of sales and/or customer service experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in recruiting, staffing, HR, customer service or business development preferred.
• Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service to clients and temporary employees.
• Recruit, screen, interview, and onboard qualified candidates.
• Source candidates through job boards, resume databases, referrals, and recruiting platforms.
• Match candidate skills and experience with client staffing needs.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and temporary associates.
• Conduct follow-up calls to ensure employee satisfaction and successful placements.
• Generate and develop new business opportunities through sales and networking efforts.
• Perform client service calls and outside sales visits to maintain and grow business partnerships.
• Promote Surge Staffing services and identify additional staffing solutions for customers.
• Support branch operations through administrative and data entry tasks.
• Assist with employee coaching, performance management, and retention efforts.
• Resolve employee and client concerns in a professional and timely manner.
• Support branch growth initiatives and contribute to overall revenue goals.
