Job summary

Newton Village, a Cassia community in Newton, IA, is hiring a Scheduler/ Staffing Coordinator to organize and schedule clinical department coverage, including the master schedule, daily shifts, and replacements. You will also provide hands-on resident care during scheduled hours and collaborate with nursing staff to ensure safe, compassionate care.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years staffing or scheduling experience, strong communication, attention to detail, and flexibility, with CNA or CMA

Qualifications

• 1–2 years prior staffing or scheduling experience required.
• Leadership experience required.
• Clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the nursing department schedule and ensure appropriate staffing levels.
• Develop and maintain the master schedule, daily staffing schedule, and coordinate replacement coverage for open shifts.
• Interview candidates for open CNA and HHA positions.
• Track continuing education and required training programs for staff.
• Monitor attendance and complete disciplinary action documentation as needed.
• Provide hands-on resident care and floor coverage during scheduled hours, including assisting with activities of daily living and other CNA/CMA duties as applicable.
• Work collaboratively with nursing staff to ensure residents receive safe, compassionate care.
