Job summary

AmeriCare Plus in South Hill, VA is seeking a Staffing Coordinator to connect caregivers with clients who rely on our in-home care services. This full-time role supports scheduling, onboarding, and ongoing caregiver engagement.

You’ll own scheduling, resolve last-minute changes, and participate in an on-call rotation with added pay. A compassionate, client-focused mindset and strong organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in scheduling, staffing, or healthcare coordination (home care preferred).
• Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.
• Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure.
• Comfortable with technology and scheduling software; proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Own the daily staffing puzzle—matching caregivers to clients efficiently and compassionately.
• Be the go-to problem solver for call-outs, last-minute changes, and urgent needs.
• Build strong relationships with caregivers and clients to ensure consistency and trust.
• Keep schedules accurate, organized, and up to date.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and caregiver engagement efforts.
• Collaborate with the team to deliver high-quality, dependable care.
• Participate in an on-call rotation (with additional pay).
