Jefferson Health’s Resource Management Center is seeking a Staffing Office Coordinator to manage daily staffing and provide administrative support across designated centers. You will adjust nursing schedules, validate census projections, and coordinate with nurse managers to ensure safe, efficient coverage while upholding policies and compassionate patient care.

This role requires strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Less than 1 year healthcare experience.
  • Experience in fast-paced customer service preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Adjust nursing staff work schedules per established contracts and policies for approval by Nurse Manager/Nursing Supervisor.
  • Review and validate projected census in scheduling system for upcoming shifts.
  • Engage with charge nurses, unit managers and Nursing Supervisor to assess staffing needs.
  • Develop staffing proposals for off shifts based on acuity, census, and available staff.
  • Document with detail and accuracy; escalate issues per process.
  • Manage staff absence notification calls and relay information to Nursing leadership.
  • Communicate staffing changes to Nurse Manager/Nursing Supervisor promptly.
  • Serve as primary end user for scheduling software and participate in its development and maintenance.
  • Provide administrative support and customer service; participate in training and orientation of new staff.

The Resource Management Center is the centralized location for daily staffing functions for designated regions across the enterprise. The Staffing Office Coordinator provides daily staffing functions as well as administrative support for designated Resource Management Centers and ensures accurate use of organizational policies and procedures. Critical thinking, collaborative decision making, high attention to detail, and the ability to function under pressure with the focus remaining on caring customer service is essential. (3) 12 hour shifts per week. Every third weekend. 1 Summer 1 Winter holiday requirement.**Job Description***Articulates the job's main responsibilities.
