Methodist Hospital is seeking a staffing coordinator to join our team. The role will partner with the Administrative Nursing Supervisor and the Patient Placement Coordinator to create staffing plans that cover patient care units, delivering timely information and reports to staff and leadership.

This frontline position supports non-contract and union contract employees, with a 0.6 FTE day/evening rotation and on-call discussions at hire.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 2 years’ experience in a staffing or customer service environment
• Strong problem solving and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team

Responsibilities

• Develop staffing plan in partnership with ANS and PPC to cover patient care units.
• Create and provide reports, perform real-time data entry, and deliver time-sensitive information to staff, charge RNs, ANS team members and leadership.
• Support both non-contract and union contract employees with staffing processes and policies.

Position Summary:

This position performs shift-to-shift and day-to-day staffing functions to determine, in partnership with the Administrative Nursing Supervisor (ANS) and the Patient Placement Coordinator (PPC), a staffing plan to provide coverage of staffing needs for the patient care units within Methodist Hospital. This is a frontline employee position who will create and provide needed reports, complete real time data entry, and deliver efficient time sensitive information to employees, charge RN’s, ANS team members and leadership. This position will utilize processes and policies for both non-contract and union contract employees.

Work Schedule:

0.6 FTE, day/evening rotation. Every other weekend. On-call requirements discussed upon hire.
