Job summary

East Gate Care & Rehab is seeking a Staffing Coordinator (LPN) to support scheduling and staffing at our Oklahoma facility. You will maintain resident care employee phone lists, coordinate with the DON and HR, and ensure unit coverage.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license for Oklahoma required.
• Experience scheduling and staffing in long-term care preferred.
• Must read, write and speak English; detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Maintain current listing of resident care employee phone numbers.
• Update postings of department managers' phone numbers in the business office.
• Maintain tardy and absenteeism calendars daily.
• Report to the DON any excess tardiness or absenteeism per policy.
• Coordinate scheduling with HR and DON per work restrictions.
• Complete nursing records for hiring, reclassification and discharge.
• Assist employees with forms related to scheduling and timekeeping.
• Prepare monthly nursing schedules ensuring unit coverage.
• Post worksheets/time schedules and coordinate variances with the DON.
• Assist in optional reports per established policies.
• Accept additional duties as assigned.

Essential Functions of Staffing Coordinator (LPN):

• Maintain a current listing of all resident care employee phone numbers.
• Update business office with current posting of all department managers' phone numbers.
• Maintain daily tardy and absenteeism calendars.
• Report to Director of Nursing (DON) all employees with excess tardiness or absenteeism in accordance with the center policy.
• Work with Human Resources and DON when scheduling modified work duty employees in accordance with work restrictions and center policy.
• Complete in timely fashion necessary nursing department employee records upon hiring, job reclassification and discharge.
• Assist employees in accurate completion of forms (i.e., leave and day off requests, time cards, etc.) pertinent to scheduling and staffing.
• Complete monthly nursing schedule coordinating requests to ensure appropriate coverage of units.
• Complete and post work sheets/time schedules.
• Coordinate variances with DON.
• Assist in completions and filings of designated reports in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Accepts other duties as assigned.

Qualifications of Staffing Coordinator (LPN):

• Active LPN license for the state of Oklahoma is required
• Prior experience scheduling, screening, and selecting job candidates in various clinical roles within a long-term care setting is preferred
• Candidates must maintain a working email address and phone number for employer communication.

• Ability to read, write and speak English
• Thorough and detail-oriented organization and management skills are highly desired.
