Jackson Care Center is seeking a Staffing Coordinator (Scheduler) to manage staff schedules across all shifts in a healthcare setting, ensuring adequate coverage and compliance with labor laws. The role involves close collaboration with nursing supervisors, department heads, and HR to balance census needs with staffing resources.

You will monitor attendance, handle call-offs, and adjust rosters while maintaining accurate records for payroll and audits, including on-call shifts and overtime

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; healthcare admin degree/certification preferred.
• 1–2 years experience in staffing, scheduling, or administration in healthcare or long-term care settings preferred.
• Proficiency in scheduling software and EHR systems; knowledge of labor laws and overtime management.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts.
• Adjust schedules for last-minute changes (absences, census changes, overtime).
• Monitor attendance, sick days, vacations, and leave; coordinate replacements.
• Communicate schedule changes to staff promptly and professionally.
• Maintain records of schedules, call-offs, and overtime for payroll/audit purposes.
• Collaborate with nursing supervisors, department heads, and HR to address staffing needs.
