Job summary

Harmony Chicago is seeking a Staffing Coordinator to help ensure proper staffing, compliance with regulations, and supportive coordination for caregiving teams in Albany Park, Chicago. You will manage schedules, communicate across departments, and assist payroll with hours to ensure accurate compensation.

The role requires a High school diploma, an active Illinois CNA certificate, and about two years of related experience with a dedication to compassionate, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current CNA certificate in the State of Illinois is required.
• Two (2) years of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adequate staffing levels to meet guests' needs and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain monthly and daily staffing records and master schedule.
• Secure coverage for vacancies, vacations, and call-offs.
• Assist payroll with accurate hours worked by nursing staff.
• Communicate attendance issues to DON/ADON and administrators.
• Support daily operations across departments as needed.
• Adhere to infection control and safety practices at all times.

In keeping with our organization’s goal of improving the lives of the Guests we serve, theStaffing Coordinatorensures proper staffing is kept at all times in the facility to meet the needs of the Guests while in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, budgetary and census guidelines.

Essential Functions

1. Assures adequate number of staff are scheduled at all times to meet the Guest’s needs as well as federal, state, and local regulations.
2. Assures monthly and daily staffing records are completed on time.
3. Secures coverage for vacancy shift, open positions, vacations and staff call-offs.
4. Maintains master schedule and log of all clinical staff schedule wo1rked hours.
5. Assists the payroll coordinator with accuracy and verification of all hours worked by nursing staff.
6. Records employee attendance and communicates with DON and ADON when issues arise.
7. Assists the Administrator and other department heads with the daily operations of the entire facility. May be assigned temporary or long term assignments in various departments.
8. Reports all hazardous conditions, damaged equipment and supply issues to appropriate persons.
9. Assure that established infection control and standard precaution practices are maintained at all times. Follow established safety precautions when preforming tasks and using equipment and supplies.
10. Maintains the comfort, privacy and dignity of Guests and interacts with them in a manner that displays warmth, respect and promotes a caring environment.
11. Communicates and interacts effectively and tactfully with Guests, visitors, families, peers and supervisors.
12. Answers and respond to call lights promptly and courteously when working in Guest care areas.
13. Attend and participate in departmental meetings and in-services as directed.

Mininum Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current CNA certificate in the State of Illinois
• Two (2) years of related experience.
