Job summary

Harmony Chicago is actively seeking a Staffing Coordinator to join our healthcare team in Chicago. You will ensure adequate staffing levels meet Guest needs and regulatory guidelines while collaborating with administrators to support daily operations.

In this role, you will assist with payroll-related hours, maintain staffing records, and help in coordinating coverage for vacancies and shifts. A CNA certificate in Illinois plus a high school diploma and two years of related experience are

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current CNA certificate in the State of Illinois.
• Two years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Assures adequate number of staff are scheduled at all times to meet the Guest’s needs as well as federal, state, and local regulations.
• Maintains monthly and daily staffing records are completed on time.
• Secures coverage for vacancy shift, open positions, vacations and staff call-offs.
• Maintains master schedule and log of all clinical staff schedule worked hours.
• Assists the payroll coordinator with accuracy and verification of all hours worked by nursing staff.
• Records employee attendance and communicates with DON and ADON when issues arise.
• Assists the Administrator and other department heads with the daily operations of the entire facility. May be assigned temporary or long term assignments in various departments.
• Reports all hazardous conditions, damaged equipment and supply issues to appropriate persons.
• Assure that established infection control and standard precaution practices are maintained at all times. Follow established safety precautions when preforming tasks and using equipment and supplies.
• Maintains the comfort, privacy and dignity of Guests and interacts with them in a manner that displays warmth, respect and promotes a caring environment.
• Communicates and interacts effectively and tactfully with Guests, visitors, families, peers and supervisors.
• Answers and respond to call lights promptly and courteously when working in Guest care areas.
• Attend and participate in departmental meetings and in-services as directed.
