What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Schedule and reassign staff to ensure qualified resources are matched to patient care needs
- Communicate with unit-based leadership and staffing colleagues about resource requirements and colleague reassignments
- Directly engage with patient care colleagues to increase availability for open shifts
- Enter accurate scheduling and attendance information into scheduling software and generate reports
- Assist in the orientation and training of new staffing clerks and recommend policy changes for efficiency
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of two (2) years of staff scheduling experience
- High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficient in at least one word processing package and one spreadsheet package
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in hospital healthcare scheduling
- Additional formal clerical and computer training
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Strong organizational skills to prioritize multiple tasks
- Ability to operate office equipment, including personal computers and printers
