Description:

Temporary non-benefited position working for at least 6 months.

The Staffing Clerk will work remotely full time between 2:00 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

There is a weekend rotation every 6 weeks, with hours on weekends either 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Employment Type: Full time

Shift: Evening Shift

The Staffing Clerk supports Trinity Health's FirstChoice nursing mobile resource pool, assigned at Trinity Health facilities nationwide. The role involves assigning patient care resources, ensuring alignment with policies, and collaborating with nursing leadership.

Essential Functions
  1. Schedules and reassigns staff to meet needs efficiently, adhering to policies.
  2. Communicates with unit leadership and staffing colleagues about resource needs and capacities.
  3. Coordinates with patient care colleagues to optimize staff availability and shift scheduling.
  4. Enters scheduling, attendance, and timekeeping data accurately; generates reports.
  5. Assists in onboarding and training new staffing clerks; recommends staffing policy improvements.
  6. Reports unresolved issues to leadership for follow-up.
  7. Maintains positive relationships and handles conflicts constructively.
Minimum Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of staff scheduling experience, preferably in healthcare.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Additional clerical and computer training is desirable.
  • Effective communication skills, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to operate office equipment and exercise independent judgment.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Pay Range: $16.82 - $22.23 per hour
