Snowflake is looking for a talented writer with experience in content operations to join our expanding content team. You will play a role in planning and executing a variety of projects including managing the blog calendar, posting content, managing content metrics, writing blog posts and web pages, and learning to turn deeply technical concepts into easy-to-understand assets like ebooks. This role requires a high level of collaboration across the web, content, marketing, design and social teams.

Our ideal candidate will have experience working on managing multipart projects, writing a wide variety of content, as well as a roll-up-your-sleeves work ethic and a passion for all aspects of developing and creating great content. This role is based in the San Francisco Bay Area.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

  • Manage the blog calendar and content posting process, including assembling pieces from stakeholders
  • Develop and write blog posts, web pages, customer stories, ebooks and much more
  • Coordinate with internal content team and marketing partners on content calendars and content needs, keying in on promotion-worthy content and topic ideas
  • Use tools to measure content performance and share those insights; use tools to manage content workflow and suggest improvements to help the team be more efficient
  • Continually test and improve content for reaching and engaging key target audiences
  • Proactively be a fountain of ideas for new and engaging content that drives results
  • Learn like crazy and have fun


REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3-5+ years experience in editorial or digital or marketing role publishing and creating content in a wide array of formats
  • Experience using analytics to determine the impact and effectiveness of content communication channels a plus
  • Comfortable learning new tools for publishing and measuring content performance
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail – the ability to own and drive schedules from start to finish, including managing stakeholder relationships and troubleshooting and problem-solving
  • Ability to prioritize and adapt to change in a high-velocity and dynamic environment
  • Ability to be comfortable learning about new technology and translating deeply technical concepts into plain english is essential; journalism, blog or publishing experience is a strong plus

The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role:

  • The estimated base salary range for this role is $115,000 - $155,400.
  • Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake’s bonus and equity plan.


The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location. This role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; 401(k) retirement plan; flexible spending & health savings account; at least 12 paid holidays; paid time off; parental leave; employee assistance program; and other company benefits.
