The Opportunity
MedPage Today has a stellar reputation as the go-to source for the latest clinical news. Healthcare professionals across the U.S. rely on us for accurate, detailed reporting on the latest science from medical journals and healthcare policy impacting their practice. Additionally, MedPage is expanding its Opinions section and the work of our Enterprise & Investigative team to highlight important issues for clinicians, fostering engagement and influence in medicine.
We are hiring a staff writer to produce 4-6 clinical news articles weekly, with a focus on infectious disease and gastroenterology, though versatility across specialties is a plus. The ideal candidate has significant experience in medical news writing, can actively promote their work on social media, and engages with article comments. They will have a network of contacts in medical specialties or be skilled at developing new contacts at academic medical centers. The role includes travel to medical conferences for in-person coverage.
