Job summary

Google Beam seeks a Staff UX Designer to own platform experiences with a hybrid motion and visual craft. You will bridge aesthetics and movement, prototype narratives for 3D and AI products, and advance generative AI workflows within a fast-paced team.

You will collaborate across design, research, and engineering to craft premium motion systems, set standards, and deliver immersive, human-centered experiences for Google Beam users.

Responsibilities

• Define and galvanize the long-term product and user experience strategy for Beam.

• Establish motion language standards and ensure cohesive systems across 3D environments.
• Collaborate with User Research to evaluate emotional resonance and usability of motion patterns.
• Address ambiguous spatial design challenges with rapid high-fidelity visualization.

• Define and galvanize the long-term product and user experience strategy for the Beam platform, driving alignment among cross-functional leaders.
• Pioneer the cinematic future of the platform by creating concept reels and high-fidelity motion mockups as a hybrid motion and visual specialist.
• Author a premium motion language and establish standards for visual and motion systems within 3D environments to ensure a cohesive identity.
• Partner with User Research to evaluate the emotional resonance and usability of premium motion and visual patterns through high-fidelity simulations.
• Resolve highly ambiguous spatial design challenges, including geospatial design and depth-based visual hierarchy, employing rapid high-fidelity visualization to scale features.
