Job summary

Google Beam is redefining remote communication with life-like 3D imaging and spatial audio, enabling real face-to-face conversations across distances. You will work on end-to-end hardware UX, from digital models to physical prototypes, collaborating with UX, product, and engineering teams.

As part of the Google Beam team, you’ll influence priorities, drive cross-functional execution, and contribute to scalable, consumer- and enterprise-ready telepresence solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in product design or UX.
• Experience with 3D CAD modeling, rendering, 3D visualization, and industrial design.
• Experience in direct physical fabrication or leading the physical realization of technical UX projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate iterative production of experimental stimuli for user testing and fabrication of mock-ups and rough functional prototypes.
• Provide experimentally validated digital 3D CAD models and physical prototypes to communicate product goals to ODMs/OEMs.
• Partner with UX, Product Managers, and Engineering leaders to define priorities and envision the future of remote communication and collaboration.
• Deliver digital models, physical mock-ups, and prototypes of future Beam devices.
• Coach designers and mentor researchers to balance technical feasibility with innovation.
