Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking a Staff Unified Communications Engineer to help design, build, and operate our UC and collaboration platforms across Windows teams environments and meeting rooms. You will work with Microsoft Teams Rooms, Cisco RoomOS hardware, Teams Phones, and related services to ensure reliable meetings and an excellent user experience.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of overall experience in Unified Communications, collaboration engineering, or a closely related IT platform role.
• Hands-on Unified Communications domain knowledge of Cisco Webex RoomOS and room systems and Microsoft Teams Rooms, plus enterprise meetings platforms.
• Practical experience supporting the employee collaboration estate: scheduling and joining meetings, hybrid room-to-desktop interoperability, calendaring, client policies, and day-to-day user experience across chat, calling, and video meetings.
• IT infrastructure knowledge spanning Azure's environment and Amazon Web Services as they apply to UC, identity, and supporting services.
• Working knowledge of AI models and development practices, with the ability to manage existing full-stack products pertaining to UC.
• Demonstrated ability to automate and resolve UC administrative and operational tasks using Python and Bash scripting, along with generative AI tools.
• Experience with API integrations, Microsoft Graph, and PowerShell.
• Familiarity with UC observability, CQD, and user experience metrics such as call quality, join success, reliability, and device health.
• Ability to work onsite in Santa Clara, CA

Responsibilities

• Operate and enhance Microsoft Teams Rooms, including provisioning, policy, firmware lifecycle, and incident response across rooms, desktops, and mobile clients.
• Build and maintain integrations using Microsoft Graph, PowerShell, and REST APIs so UC systems stay in sync with identity, calendaring, and IT service platforms.
• Manage and extend existing full-stack products supporting UC, covering monitoring, admin tooling, and user-facing workflows, including AI-assisted capabilities.
• Automate administrative and operational work with Python, Bash, and generative AI tools so routine changes, health checks, and remediations are repeatable and auditable.
• Instrument UC observability through CQD, user experience metrics, and dashboards that reflect real user experiences in rooms and meetings.
• Partner with IT, networking, facilities, security, and product teams to identify and solve issues across rooms, clients, cloud services (Azure and AWS), and the network path.
• Document runbooks, standards, and change procedures so the collaboration platform is supportable at scale.

Staff Unified Communications Engineer (Finance)

NVIDIA is seeking a skilled Staff UC/Collaboration Engineer to join our IT-EPE organization and be a key member of Unified Communications and employee collaboration experience. This role will involve conferencing systems including Microsoft Teams meeting environments and Cisco RoomOS. It also covers meeting platforms such as Teams, Zoom, Gmeet, and Slack. Employees use these daily on desktop devices, mobile apps, and in meeting rooms.

The role requires confirmed UC domain knowledge, technical proficiency in Python and Bash automation, API integrations including Microsoft Graph and PowerShell, and strong communication skills.

Candidates who have operated enterprise meetings platforms, instrumented UC observability and CQD, and applied AI to full-stack UC products will stand out. What you'll be doing:

You will be a key part of building, operations, and evolution of our Unified Communications platform, spanning the Microsoft Teams meeting room system, Cisco RoomOS Hardware, Teams Phones, Qsys Integration, 4k Streaming and related collaboration services. Day to day you will keep meeting/collaboration spaces reliable, integrate UC with cloud infrastructure, and improve how we observe and automate the estate.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 144,000 USD - 230,000 USD.
