Job summary

Walmart Data Ventures is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead the delivery of scalable platform capabilities and drive the full software development lifecycle. You will mentor teams, apply cloud-native principles, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align with business objectives and ensure quality, security, and operational excellence.

The role emphasizes building AI-driven applications, promoting engineering excellence, and supporting Walmart’s data-driven strategy

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area with 4 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
Option 2: 6 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.

Responsibilities

Deliver platform capabilities including infrastructure, tooling, and ML frameworks aligned with roadmap priorities.
Drive full software development lifecycle activities including coding, testing, deployment, monitoring and maintenance.
Apply cloud-native architecture principles to ensure scalable, resilient systems.
Lead system design reviews to validate quality and alignment with architectural standards.
Build AI-driven applications integrating ML components and automation features.
