Job summary
Walmart Data Ventures seeks a Staff Software Engineer to deliver scalable platform capabilities, applying cloud-native architecture to enhance resilience. Lead full SDLC, mentor teams, and integrate AI/ML components across languages to drive data-driven decisions and engineering excellence.
You will collaborate across teams to define requirements, build AI-driven solutions, and ensure alignment with business goals while leveraging scalable infrastructure and DevOps practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in CS or related field and 4+ years in software engineering.
- Experience leading full SDLC and cloud-native projects.
- Strong knowledge of microservices and API design.
Responsibilities
- Deliver platform capabilities including infrastructure, tooling, and ML frameworks.
- Lead full software development lifecycle: coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Apply cloud-native architecture for scalable, resilient systems.
- Run design reviews to ensure architectural alignment.
- Build AI-driven apps and integrate ML components across languages.
- Mentor engineers and promote engineering excellence.
- Collaborate with teams to define requirements and optimize processes using data.
