Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Staff Overhead Transmission Line Structural Engineer to contribute to design and analysis of transmission structures. In this role, you will apply advanced engineering methods with minimal supervision and may guide junior staff on projects of moderate complexity.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across locations, ensure quality, and support project execution from concept to validation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• Minimum 5 years related work experience.
• Ability to apply advanced engineering techniques.
• Ability to mentor junior staff and guide project teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex design activities for overhead transmission line projects.
• Provide technical guidance to project teams across disciplines.
• Develop, validate, and present engineering outputs and calculations.
• Coordinate with clients and internal stakeholders to address drivers and constraints.
• Mentor and oversee junior engineers on medium complexity projects.
