Job summary

ALSO, a pioneering electric mobility company, seeks a Staff Technical Program Manager, Software, to drive firmware and embedded software development across hardware and backend systems. You’ll partner with product, hardware and software engineering, aligning work with the hardware product roadmap.

You’ll lead cross-functional teams on complex programs, manage schedules and risks, and report progress to leadership across time zones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
• 7+ years of experience in program management, engineering, or a similar cross-functional role.
• Experience launching consumer electronics, IoT devices, vehicles, or similar hardware/software devices from concept to production.
• Experience managing embedded device hardware/software releases and integration into back-end software systems.
• Proficiency with Jira and other bug/task tracking tools.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary software projects from start to finish, managing critical workstreams across embedded software development, controls, and connectivity.
• Plan requirements with stakeholders, identify risks, manage schedules, and communicate with cross-functional partners.
• Collaborate with software and hardware engineers on multiple high-visibility consumer-facing products.
• Drive program planning and implementation with cross-functional teams to hit roadmap goals, track progress, analyze risks, and resolve issues.
• Develop and manage program schedules, technical issues, release management, and resource needs with engineering.
• Communicate progress with stakeholders and leadership across locations and time zones, nurturing cross-functional relationships.
• Implement process improvements to streamline development and manage risks.
