Job summary

A10 Networks is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to help develop Threat Protection System (TPS) products in a hybrid environment. You will work on novel DDoS detection, mitigation approaches, and a programmable data plane while collaborating with product managers, QA, and platform teams.

The role emphasizes deep packet processing, OSI/TCP-IP understanding, and hands-on debugging with tools like GDB and Wireshark to deliver robust security solutions.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years in software engineering with networking or security.
• Strong programming skills in C/C++ and scripting languages.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement DDoS detection and mitigation features.
• Contribute to an extensible data plane and multi-threaded components.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to clarify requirements and validate features.
• Create design notes, unit tests, and validation plans.
