Josselyn, a nonprofit community mental health center, has been serving people since 1951 when Dr. Irene Josselyn saw a need for kids and families to get help without worrying about the cost. Today, Josselyn is known for its excellent mental health care, offering outpatient therapy, psychiatry, case management, employment support, and intensive programs for youth. With 6 locations in northern Cook and Lake County, Josselyn serves more than 7,500 people annually. Job Summary

The Staff Therapist provides clinical services to children, adolescents, and/or adults to help Josselyn achieve its vision of Mental Health For All. The clinician is responsible for clinical, administrative, and Quality and Compliance duties.

Essential Responsibilities and Metrics

• Provides therapy, counseling, crisis intervention, case management, and client-centered consultation to clients and their families.
• Maintains direct service hours of 60% for advanced clinicians and 56% for others.
• Keeps detailed, confidential records of client sessions, progress, assessments, and treatment plans, including:
• Completes IATP assessments within 30 days of initial meeting, reviews and updates as needed, and records in CIS.
• Completes LOCUS assessments in a timely manner.
• Enters progress notes into the medical record within three business days.
• Maintains up-to-date EMR calendar and primary records.
• Coordinates care with internal and external clinical staff.
• Participates in clinical presentations, meetings, and accreditation processes.
• Responds to outreach regarding client fees and payments.
• Engages in strategic planning and community services as appropriate.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in a clinical field, such as M.A. in Counseling, MSW, MSMFT, Psy.D, Ph.D., or a QMHP-eligible degree in Illinois.
• Three professional references supporting clinical ability.
