Job summary

Shield AI is seeking a Staff Technical Program Manager in Dallas, TX to lead end‑to‑end execution of complex autonomy‑enabled UAS programs from requirements through deployment. You will align multiple engineering teams, manage technical risk, and drive delivery of verified capability to customers.

The role requires deep experience in system integration, requirements management, verification and test, and scaled‑Agile leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Systems Engineering, CS, Physics or related STEM field.
8–12+ years in systems engineering, project engineering, or technical program management in aerospace/defense/robotics.
Proven experience leading cross‑functional technical programs and delivering integrated products.
Strong systems engineering: requirements management, traceability, interface management, verification/validation, test planning/execution.

Responsibilities

Lead end‑to‑end execution of UAS/autonomy programs across requirements to deployment.
Own integrated program plans: scope, milestones, schedules, risks, dependencies, decisions.
Coordinate with technical leads to ensure clear, measurable requirements and acceptance criteria.
Lead cross‑functional system integration and test across hardware, software, autonomy, cyber, and manufacturing.
Drive risk management, trade studies, and leadership decisions when needed.
Establish delivery cadences with multiple teams and monitor progress via program reviews and dashboards.
Communicate status, risks, and tradeoffs to engineering leadership and customers.
Develop program metrics and dashboards to improve predictability and release readiness.
Mentor engineers in planning, systems engineering, risk management, and delivery practices.
