Job summary

Discord Inc. is seeking a Staff Technical Program Manager to lead security, IT, and compliance programs in a fast-moving environment. You will work with Security Engineering, IT, Legal, and Privacy to drive cross-functional initiatives and ensure audit readiness across frameworks like SOC 2, ISO 27001, and NIST.

You will develop a holistic ownership model, manage complex programs, and report program health to executive leadership, while ensuring product velocity and strong risk management.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Technical Program/Product Management experience in security, IT, or infrastructure engineering teams.
• Experience with security compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, PCI-DSS).
• Proven ability to move programs from concept to completion with measurable outcomes.
• Experience collaborating with Engineering, Legal, Privacy, and Leadership to meet regulatory needs.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Security Engineering, IT, Legal, Privacy, and cross-functional teams to implement detection, access management, and device management solutions.
• Manage multiple complex programs with competing timelines and resources across security, IT, and compliance stakeholders.
• Develop an enduring ownership model for code, products, and programs.
• Help mature the control environment aligning with SOC 2, ISO 27001, and NIST while maintaining product velocity.
• Drive BYOD/MDM, identity & access, and third-party risk management toward audit-ready outcomes.
• Present risk posture and program status to C-suite audiences.
