Job summary

Zoox is seeking a Staff Technical Program Manager for Powertrain and Thermal in Foster City, CA. You will lead the vehicle program across powertrain and thermal systems, guiding technical direction from concept to production while balancing performance, cost, quality, and manufacturability.

You will coordinate internal engineers and external partners, drive schedules, and manage risk, with travel as needed and a strong emphasis on end-to-end NPI and design reviews.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of automotive engineering experience focused on powertrain or thermal systems.
• Experience leading cross-functional programs from concept to production.
• Proficiency with advanced engineering tools and PM methods (FMEA, 8D, DFMEAs).
• Ability to travel globally as required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as program and technical lead for powertrain and thermal systems across vehicle design components.
• Oversee BOM integrity, critical build processes, and cost/quality initiatives across the supply chain.
• Develop schedules and coordinate with suppliers, quality, procurement, service, manufacturing, and engineering teams to close issues on time.
