Job summary

Zoox is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager in Foster City, CA to own and drive the end-to-end compute and sensor program, from architecture through production readiness. You will lead cross-functional teams spanning hardware, embedded software, and systems integration to ship the next-gen compute platform.

Responsibilities include defining program strategy, managing risk, maintaining schedules, and reporting to executives.

Qualifications

BS or MS in computer science, engineering or equivalent.
8+ years in technical program management across embedded software and hardware.
Experience managing cross-functional, long-running projects.
Familiarity with software/hardware development processes.
Excellent written and verbal communication for senior leadership.
Ability to build relationships with senior leaders and engineers.

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end program plan for next-gen compute and sensor software from architecture through bring-up, validation, and production readiness.
Partner with hardware, firmware, perception, and systems engineering leads to align on requirements, interfaces, and milestones across the compute/sensor stack.
Identify and drive resolution of cross-team dependencies, technical risks, and schedule conflicts before blockers.
Build and maintain program schedules, tracking mechanisms, and executive-level status reporting.
Facilitate technical trade-off discussions (performance, power, cost, timeline) and drive decisions to closure with engineering leadership.
Establish and evolve program management processes for a fast-moving hardware-software program.
