Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems, Multi-Domain Operations and Missile Defense Integration is seeking a Staff Systems Engineer - Level 5 to join our Colorado team on-site in Colorado Springs or Boulder. You will lead system/software integration and drive the program's architecture strategy in an IRAD context.

The role requires MBSE expertise, SysML/UAF, strong leadership of IPTs, and active security clearance. Travel up to 25% is possible; relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in STEM from an accredited university with 12 years of related experience, or Master's with 10 years, or PhD with 8 years.
• Experience applying MBSE on complex aerospace/defense/advanced tech.
• Experience with SysML and UAF.
• Experience in system architecture, requirements development, interface analysis, and technical decomposition.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering team that supports software integration for formal test events.
• Coordinate integration across components, a Software Integration Lab (SIL), multiple development teams, and the program cloud environment.
• Provide regular status updates and flag blockers to upper leadership to drive timely resolution.
• Translate mission needs and technical objectives into clear, model-based architecture artifacts.
• Apply systems engineering processes (requirements management, interface control, Verification and Validation) to software, ensuring traceability and integration across the system architecture.
• Develop and maintain MBSE architecture products for advanced concept and campaign efforts.
