Job summary

Anduril Industries in Costa Mesa, CA is seeking a Staff Systems Engineer to lead systems engineering for a Group 5 autonomous aircraft program. You will shape customer needs into air vehicle and subsystem requirements with multidisciplinary teams.

You will develop MBSE artifacts, manage risks, and drive design reviews (SREL, PDR, CDR) while aligning with MIL-STD and ARP/DOD standards, leveraging SysML and digital threads. U.S. Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• B.S. in aerospace, mechanical, computer science or similar engineering field.
• 12+ years Systems Engineering Experience across the life cycle for a UAS with specific focus on aircraft systems.
• Familiarity with MIL-HDBK-516C, MIL-STD-882E, ARP-4761, ARP-4754A, DO-178C, DO-254, MIL-STD-881.
• Experience developing subsystem and component requirements and interfaces.
• Experience with Systems Engineering activities on complex DoD/Space programs and with model-based artifacts.

Responsibilities

• Shape customer needs into air vehicle and subsystem requirements with multidisciplinary teams.
• Develop System Engineering artifacts and a digital thread to trace from stakeholder inputs through design.
• Lead program reviews including System Requirements Review, Preliminary Design Review, and Critical Design Review.
• Communicate and manage program risks with the Chief Engineer and Program Management.
