Job summary

Supermicro in San Jose, CA seeks a Staff System Engineer to support, test and validate server/storage system level products. You will configure, deploy, troubleshoot, and validate performance and application solutions.

Collaborating with product managers and engineers, you will draft benchmarks, develop PoCs, and help build CI/CD pipelines to enable faster, more reliable software releases across data center technologies.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in EE or CE required.
Minimum 8 years of system engineering experience in server products preferred.
Experience with CI/CD tools, cloud platforms, scripting, and automation.
Familiarity with benchmarks and server architecture is a plus.
Willingness to travel internationally/domestically.
Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

Define and develop application benchmarks for enterprise computing.
Execute benchmark testing and proofs of concepts for data center technologies.
Work with product managers and system engineers on technical marketing materials.
Proactively research new technologies and PoCs.
Collaborate with sales and customers on networking solutions.
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automation.
Monitor, log, and respond to incidents.
Automate and streamline software development and deployment lifecycle.
