Qualifications

Lead complex system design & analysis across electrical, mechanical, software, actuation, and composite technologies. Define system architecture from customer requirements and applicable standards. Manage requirements, including subsystem definitions, derived requirements, tolerances, and traceability. Use modeling and simulation to verify performance, reliability, safety, and risk mitigation. Create and manage test plans, procedures, fixtures, and tooling globally. Perform subsystem testing and support integration into customer vehicles or applications. Evaluate new and modified product designs to ensure performance meets specifications. Present technical information to support strategic, multi-site planning. Review and critique design work from others and promote best practices. Collaborate directly with customers and internal teams on requirements, project updates, and test results. Contribute to standard process and procedure development. Mentor engineers at various levels. Serve as a technology expert and help guide innovation for products and processes. Support proposals, including technical definitions, diagrams, and compliance documentation. Operate with a high degree of independence; only major deliverables require senior review. Work across multiple projects and locations simultaneously. Some limited travel may be required (20%).

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or aerospace engineering + 11 years’ experience, or Master’s degree + 9 years’ experience.
• Experience with actuation systems (motors, gearing, ball screws, electronics, software).
• Knowledge of composites/lightweighting preferred.
• Experience with military/defense programs or government contracting preferred.
• Strong ability to interpret and develop technical instructions, diagrams, and abstract concepts.
• Proven technical expertise in one or more engineering disciplines.
