Endeavor Health is seeking a Staff Support Assistant for the GI Tech team at Glenbrook with cross-hospital coverage in Evanston, Highland Park and Skokie. This full-time (32 hrs/wk) role supports clinical staff with patient care, rounds, and logistics to maintain safety and comfort for patients in a busy hospital environment.

Flexibility to float, shift-based hours 8a-4:30p, and a focus on infection control and patient dignity make this position essential to our care teams across multiple

Responsibilities

• Responds to the immediate needs of the patient by answering patient call lights promptly and courteously.
• Performs hourly rounds for safety, comfort, and patient requests as directed by RN.
• Assists with positioning, lifting, transfers, and ambulation of patients as directed.
• Helps set up meals and assist with meal orders for patients.
• Keeps patient rooms tidy, refreshes linen, and removes unnecessary equipment.
• Assists with basic hygiene tasks and comfort measures for patients.
• Transports patients to other departments or discharge areas as directed by RN.
• Stays with patients as directed for safety.
• Handles infectious waste and linen per established procedures.
