Barry Isett & Associates is seeking a Staff Engineer/Designer in its Lehigh Valley (Allentown, PA) or Greater Reading (Wyomissing, PA) office to contribute to industrial projects and more. You will participate in start‑to‑finish design, collaborating with experienced engineers to deliver high‑quality outcomes.

The role requires some technical design experience, proficiency with structural design software, and the ability to supervise others in producing drawings.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Civil, Architectural, or related engineering degree.
Minimum 3–5 years of design/consulting experience.
FE exam passed; able to sit for PE in 2–3 years.
Knowledge of REVIT and/or BIM software.
Ability to direct others in producing engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

Support Structural Engineering with emphasis on industrial facilities; may work on schools, offices, residential projects.
Perform structural analysis and design of steel, concrete, masonry, timber.
Assist in preparing construction documents.
Attend client meetings with project engineer and interface with clients to set scope, budget, timeline.
Establish long‑term partnerships with clients as directed.
