Description
The Staff Structural Engineer will work on project teams to create world-class designs for new projects, alterations, and redevelopments on a variety of projects. This position in the fueling structural team supports the Aircraft Systems (Fueling & Ramp Services) and Federal Fueling Business Lines within the Aviation & Federal Global Practice.
Burns & McDonnell is considered the leading consultant in the aircraft fueling industry. We are engaged in high visibility projects, both large and small, at major airports and military bases worldwide. Additionally, the fueling business line executes projects for aviation, federal, transport truck, and car rental clients, including marine loading facilities, pipeline terminals, truck loading facilities, and commercial gasoline stations.
The Staff Structural Engineer will be responsible for performing engineering and consulting services for clients across the US and the US Government. Typical clients include private airlines, public airport or city entities, and the US Department of Defense. Projects range in size and complexity from small single tank and single dispenser gas stations to million-barrel bulk fuel storage depots or aviation fuel facilities distributing millions of gallons of jet fuel per day.
The Staff Structural Engineer will work with the project team throughout the design and construction process, adapting structural plans according to budget constraints, design factors, or client needs.
