Job summary

Shipt, Inc. is seeking a Staff Site Reliability Engineer to lead resilience efforts across distributed microservices. You will drive SRE practices, implement modern observability, and reduce systemic friction in multi-cloud Kubernetes environments.

You’ll partner with product domains like Checkout and Catalog to enforce SLO-driven engineering, improve incident response, and create automated tooling for safe deployments at scale.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of engineering experience.
• 5+ years running complex microservices at scale on Kubernetes in cloud environments (AWS and/or GCP).
• Fluent in at least one modern language used for system tooling and backend services.

Responsibilities

• Architect system resilience and pioneer modern observability across distributed microservices.
• Drive SRE practices, incident response workflows, and blameless post-mortems.
• Collaborate with Checkout, Logistics, Catalog, Search, and Shopper Experience teams.
• Build automated tooling and self-service infrastructure for safe deployments.
