Job summary

Temporal Technologies is seeking a Staff Solutions Architect who will act as a primary customer-facing technical leader within the New Logo team, focusing on the Centralregion. You will guide prospects on application suitability for Temporal and demonstrate a distinct technical edge of our cloud service to customer engineers and executives.

You will position Temporal against alternative technologies, help grow production applications, and own the technical relationship with key decision-makers.

Qualifications

• Excellent technical communication skills (presenting, whiteboarding, writing).
• Comfortable discussing distributed system technologies, design decisions, and best practices.
• Able to construct application prototypes and guide design, development, build, and deployment using Temporal’s languages.
• Conversant with operating applications in production, including security, reliability, performance, cost management, and operations.
• Provide practical architectural guidance and assist with scoping and sizing opportunities.
• Engage with cloud providers and cloud services used for development and production environments.
• Serve as a technical advisor to Sales Account Executives on use cases and timing.

Responsibilities

• Help prospects understand if their application suits Temporal.
• Explain technical benefits and drawbacks of Temporal platform and cloud service.
• Position Temporal against alternatives and patterns.
• Enable customer engineering teams to expand production applications with Temporal.
• Partner with Account Executives to develop and execute an account plan.
• Own relationships with technical decision-makers in evaluating and operating Temporal apps.
• Travel to customer sites 25-50%.
