Job summary

Aave Labs is looking for a Staff smart contract engineer to innovate and build upon the Aave protocol and GHO stablecoin. You should have a strong passion for web3 technology and a deep understanding of smart contract development.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and deploying smart contracts on Ethereum and other EVM based networks & work closely with the Aave team to develop and maintain the protocol.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Solidity and secure smart contract development.
• Experience with DeFi protocols and onchain systems.
• Familiarity with Ethereum ecosystem and security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and test secure Solidity-based smart contracts.
• Contribute to protocol-level infrastructure and tooling.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ship new features.
• Respond to security vulnerabilities with tested responses and fixes.
• Review code for security and quality standards.
• Stay updated on Ethereum developments and adopt new tech as appropriate.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers.
