Butler America Aerospace, LLC. in Grand Prairie, TX, seeks a Software Quality Engineer Staff - Test Engineering Hardware (HW) SME to drive software quality across test equipment and HWIL systems within the Software Quality Engineering team.

The role emphasizes collaboration, exposure to AS9100/CMMI, and influencing critical quality initiatives on cutting-edge programs. Travel to sites may be required; a Secret clearance is preferred. Flexible scheduling supports work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related STEM discipline.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• Experience in requirements analysis, design reviews, product integration, and verification/validation of hardware/software test systems.
• Demonstrated experience with test equipment and test set hardware including reading schematics and calibration reviews.
• Ability to read, interpret, and troubleshoot LabVIEW and C/C++ test code to verify requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office for test documentation and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Support Test Equipment throughout the life cycle from requirements to certification.
• Support test set hardware including reading schematics, inspections, calibration reviews, data integrity checks, and safety checks.
• Test documentation reviews and non-conformance burndown.
• Witness verification and validation of test equipment and HWIL systems.
• Define and execute audit strategies to ensure compliance with software and system processes.
