Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. in McClellan, CA is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to synthesize requirements into verification strategies and lead software testing across distributed teams.

You will collaborate with systems engineers, software developers, and customers to advance program deliverables. The role requires strong experience in C/C++, Python, Java, Docker, Agile, and DevOps practices, with evidence of leadership in software engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline with 12+ years of related experience, or Master’s with 10+ years, or PhD with 8+ years.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance with SAP approval.
• Experience with the software lifecycle: specification, design, implementation, integration, debugging, and maintenance.
• Experience leading Software Engineering teams and cross-functional planning.
• Experience with Agile, Git, GitLab, or Bitbucket and cross-functional Scrum teams.
• Experience in software development using C/C++, Python, Java, Docker.

Responsibilities

• Synthesize software requirements into verification requirements and test objectives for software and system level tests.
• Support software requirements development and test plans, TRRs, and test reports.
• Execute software qualification and acceptance testing per plans and procedures.
• Participate in internal and customer software test planning groups.
• Design, develop, and implement testing methods and equipment for software.
• Collaborate with systems engineers, software developers, and other stakeholders in testing.
