Vox Media Group LLC is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to shape the technology behind New York Magazine's journalism, subscriptions, and reader experiences. You will own frontend and backend web apps, publishing platform components, and mobile app collaboration across iOS and Android.

You will guide architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and partner with product and editorial teams to improve acquisition, conversion, and retention while advancing responsible AI-enabled workflows.

Qualifikationen

• Deep JavaScript expertise and production web app experience.
• Experience leading complex technical initiatives across systems or teams.
• Strong frontend fundamentals and frameworks (React/ Vue) and TypeScript.
• Experience designing APIs, data models, authentication, and authorization.

Aufgaben

• Lead complex engineering initiatives translating product needs into technical plans and guiding projects end-to-end.
• Build and improve consumer subscription experiences, including checkout flows and onboarding.
• Strengthen subscriber identity and access, integrating authentication and entitlements.
• Support experimentation and growth through reliable experiments and analytics.
• Evolve the publishing platform with reusable components and editor tools.
• Contribute to NYMag mobile apps and cross-platform APIs.
• Improve quality, testing, observability, and performance across web/mobile workflows.
